Environmental Monitoring Collaborative

Purpose & Activities

In accordance with RIGL §46-31-9, the Environmental Monitoring Collaborative is responsible for "developing and implementing a strategy for an environmental monitoring program," to be developed in consultation with the[Coordination Team's Science] advisory committee." The environmental monitoring strategy" shall include baselines, protocols, guidelines, and quantifiable environmental indicators," including:

The Environmental Monitoring Collaborative is currently chaired by URI Coastal Institute Director Dr. Peter August, with Sue Kiernan of RI DEM and Tom Uva of the Narragansett Bay Commission serving as Vice-Chairs.
