Hiring an Accountant

If you cannot use a tax credit, then it has no value to your transaction.   Understanding the eligibility for, value of and timing for tax credits and deductions and other cost components indirectly impact project costs.  Prior to agreeing on acquisition price or evaluating cleanup costs, it may be well to consultant an accountant who can advise you correctly on the many tax credits that the site may qualify for and other cost issues.

The Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants  does not provide referrals to specific members.   They do, however, post links to member firms web sites (click on Accounting Links)  and the membership of the Societies committees including, "Business, Industry and Government" and "Federal and State Tax" (click on Leadership Directory)
