Pan: Pans the map as the user drags the pointer across the map.
Zoom In: Zooms in on the position clicked on or the box dragged on the map.
Zoom Out: Zooms out on the position clicked on or the box dragged on the map.
Previous Extent: Zooms to last previous extent. Inactive until user changes extents.
Zoom to Full Extent: Zooms to the full extent of the map.
Zoom to Active Layer Extent: Zooms to the full extent of the active layer.

General

Toggle Legend/ Layer List: Switches between layer list and map legend.
Inset Map On/Off: Toggles the onscreen legend map window on or off (if present).
Generate Map for Printing: Generates a 8.5" x 11" map for printing.
Save a Map to an Image File: Saves the JPEG map image of your current map to a user        selected file or folder.

Working with Maps

Identify: Allows user to click a feature and see a list of its attributes.
Address Matching: Allows user to find an address.
Select Features with a Rectangle: Selects & lists features touched by a user drawn rectangle.
Select Features with a Circle: Selects & lists features touched by a user drawn circle.
Select Features with a Line: Selects & lists features touched by a user drawn line.
Select Features with a Polygon: Selects & lists features touched by a user drawn polygon.
View Attributes: View the attributes of a selected feature.
Query: Allows user to construct queries to run on a layer.
Measure Distance: Allows user to measure distance on the map.
Find: Finds map features based on a user specified text string.
Clear Highlight: Unselects the current selection.
MapNotes: Turns on the MapNotes toolbar and displays MapNotes Layers.
