DEM TO HOLD HEARING ON WATERFOWL SEASON SEPTEMBER 2

PROVIDENCE – The Department of Environmental Management’s Division of Fish and Wildlife will hold a public hearing Thursday, September 2 on proposed regulations setting the 1999-2000 waterfowl season and bag limits.

This year’s proposed regulations are similar to those of last year, according to Michael Lapisky, DEM Deputy Chief of Wildlife.

The hearing will take place at 7 p.m. at the North Kingstown Community Center on Beach Street, located off Route 1A south of Wickford. Public comments may be offered at the hearing or submitted in writing to the Division at or before the hearing.

Copies of the proposed regulations are available at DEM’s Division of Fish and Wildlife in the Oliver Stedman Government Center, 4808 Tower Hill Road, Wakefield, or by calling the Division at 222-3075 or 789-3094.
