MEDIA ADVISORY

PROVIDENCE - The Department of Environmental Management, The Nature Conservancy, and the South Kingstown Land Trust will hold a joint news conference at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, the announce the acquisition of 231 acres of property in South Kingstown for open space preservation. The announcement, including DEM Director Jan Reitsma, The Nature Conservancy State Director Doug Parker, and Clarkson Collins, President of the South Kingstown Land Trust, will take place at Weeden Farms, which is located at 2700 Rt. 1 in South Kingstown.

DIRECTIONS FROM PROVIDENCE:

Follow Rt. 95 South to Rt. 4 to Rt. 1. Take the Matunuck Beach Road exit off Route 1 and make a U-turn onto Route 1 North. The entrance to Weeden Farms is located at 2700 Route 1, shortly before the turn onto Matunuck Beach Road.
