DEM ANNOUNCES MAIN BAIT & TACKLE IN FALL RIVER WILL OPERATE AS A RI STATE CHECK STATION AT THE BEGINNING OF SHOTGUN DEER SEASON

PROVIDENCE - The Department of Environmental Management's Division of Fish and Wildlife announces that Main Bait and Tackle shop in Fall River, Massachusetts has been designated as a state-operated check station during the first three days of the shotgun deer season, which opens on December 6.

"Main Bait and Tackle shop has qualified as a state-operated check station for the convenience of hunters in the East Bay area of Rhode Island, and we are grateful for their assistance," stated Mark Gibson, Acting Chief of the Division of Fish & Wildlife.

Deer harvested during the first three days of shotgun season can be checked at Main Bait and Tackle on December 6, 7, and 8, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
