DEM ANNOUNCES IMMEDIATE CLOSURE OF STATE LANDS ON PRUDENCE ISLAND TO DEER HARVESTING
Closure Enacted As Deer Harvest Quotas Have Been Met

PROVIDENCE - The Department of Environmental Management is notifying hunters that the North end and South end management areas on Prudence Island are closed to deer hunting effective December 3 due to the deer harvest quotas being met.

Private lands are still open to deer hunting with written landowner permission co-signed by the chief of police.
