The last component is us - the program. Unlike P2 this is a new program begun only this past year. An excellent base has been created by the P2 group, as well as EPA. (review slide)
Our mission is to serve as an information center, a clearing house and facilitator. Information and assistance from my first slide;
Technical - methods to estimate emissions, control technologies, process and substance substitutes, and coordination with P2
Administrative - are they subject to the Act, applications, record keeping requirements
Compliance - coordination with Air Division and above to ensure compliance
While our primary responsibility is “small business assistance for air permitting” we sometimes address issues that are multimedia or affect large businesses
Beside these 3 components and the people you see here, there is a large supporting cast including ; the regulatory divisions, strategic planning division, and coordination with Economic Development and EPA.
We want to make sure you and your clients understand the regulatory requirements and process, have access to pertinent information, and help coordinate other assistance.
