Restricted Pesticides List
EPA's Restricted Use Products (RUP) Report
Federally Registered Restricted Use Pesticides
Revised as of September 10, 2004

The list of federally restricted use pesticides published herein is intended solely to assist applicators, government agencies, and educators in recognizing pesticide products which may be classified for such use.

The Restricted Use classification restricts a product or its use to use only by a certified applicator and is clearly marked on the product label as follows:

For retail sale to and use only by a certified applicator or persons under the direct supervision of a certified applicator and only for those uses covered by the certified applicator's certification.

The list is based upon the Restricted Use Products (RUP) Report database as maintained by EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). The official list of Restricted Use Pesticides is subject to periodic changes. This list contains the names of pesticides with some or all of their uses and/or formulations classified as restricted or canceled. Not all product names are listed here, and not all federally restricted products are registered for use and distribution within Rhode Island. Pesticide companies must register pesticides with the Department of Environmental Management before these products can be sold and used in the state.

Pesticides marked with an asterisk (*) are listed as state-restricted in Rhode Island by the Department of Environmental Management/Division of Agriculture.
