GO of the Gold

Are you up for the challenge? Catch a golden rainbow trout from Opening Day through Free Fishing Weekend (first weekend in May annually) and earn a golden trout pin!

  • Catch a Golden Rainbow Trout from April 13 to May 6, 2024
  • Email your picture to dem.fishri@dem.ri.gov
  • Once we get your photo, you will receive a link to complete a pin request form.
  • One pin per person. Photos submitted after May 6, 2024, will not be accepted.
  • Anglers must adhere to all regulations. Don’t have your fishing license? You can purchase your license and trout conservation stamp at RIO.RI.GOV
