State Pier 9 - Bulkhead and Site Improvements

Location: Newport, R.I.

Contractor: Reagan Construction Corp

Construction/Renovation Cost: $3 million

Completion Date: December 2001

Project: Project: Construct approximately 1,200 linear feet of anchored steel bulkhead around the perimeter of Pier 9; install pile and timber fender system along the entire bulkhead; pave approximately 120,000 square feet of parking area, access roads and loading areas and install a new storm drainage system with a treatment system to remove at least 80% of suspended solids prior to discharge.
