Education and Outreach About Pet Waste

Pet waste is more than a nuisance. It pollutes surface waters, contributing bacteria and nutrients to the places we want to fish, swim, and enjoy. Urban and suburban areas contribute to the problem when pet waste on sidewalks and streets washes into storm drains. If you want pet waste to be less of a stormwater concern in your town, then we have a strategy for you! We can help you:

  • Get a pet waste ordinance adopted,
  • Install a pet waste station, or
  • Plan a pet waste bag giveaway to encourage residents to scoop the poop.
