RIUST staff moves into DEM

Re: Rhode Island Underground Storage Tank (UST) Review Board Staff

Dear Stakeholder:

This correspondence is being sent to make you aware of some changes that were enacted as part of the State budget for fiscal year 2007 that directly impacted upon the RI UST Review Board. Among those changes was a mandate to integrate the existing UST Board staff into the RI Department of Environmental Management (DEM). As a result of that integration, which was effective as of July 1, 2006, all future claims and communications regarding reimbursement should be sent to:

To ensure a smooth transition, it is DEM’s intention to maintain the existing claims review process currently in place. The final decisions on reimbursements will remain subject to a vote by the UST Review Board. Should you have any questions or concerns, however, please feel free to call the contacts above.
