Coastal Resources

OVERVIEW

The Coastal Resources program is responsible for the development, management, and maintenance of the Port of Galilee, State Pier #9 (Newport), State Pier #4 (Jerusalem), and State Pier #5 (Narragansett). These properties comprise 41 piers and 24 lease holdings with an approximate combined value of over $100 million.

The Port of Galilee is one of the largest commercial fishing ports on the East Coast and is home port to over 250 commercial fishing vessels. State pier #9 is the only state owned facility supporting commercial fishing vessels in Newport Harbor and provides dockage for approximately 50 vessels.
